Gilmore Plant & Bulb Co. Inc. started out as North State Nursery in 1912 growing mostly fruit trees, large broadleaf and coniferous evergreens. In 1932, we became incorporated as Gilmore Plant & Bulb Company, Inc. with G.G. Gilmore Sr. as president. In 1946, G.G. Gilmore Jr. became president and Tom Gilmore became president in 1982. After the passing of Tom Gilmore in 2019 his son Dwayne Gilmore became president. 

Our family owned nursery is now in the third and fourth generation of leadership. Dell Gilmore is in charge of the container division and Dwayne Gilmore is in charge of the field division. Dwayne's son Joshua also works in the field division. 

In the 1980's we stopped growing bulbs and in 2009 our days of landscaping came to an end. Today we operate strictly as a wholesale nursery growing field and container trees and shrubs. We appreciate and value you as our customer.
